cool iPhone app...
Just wanted to share that I downloaded this new iPhone application today (free...yay!) and it's really cool...it's called "Lose It!" and it's basically a weight loss tool. You start off by entering your age and current weight, as well as your goal weight. Then you specify how many lbs. you want to lose a week (or if you just want to maintain), and it calculates how many calories you can consume a day to reach that goal, and tells you by what date you can expect to reach the goal if you follow the plan. Then, every day you log in everything you eat. It has databases you can search for brand name foods (like supermarket foods and restaurant food), and a general database (where you can search for things like "chicken breast" or "egg"). You can also enter your own foods or recipes if you have the nutritional info for them and they are not already in the database. Finally, you can also log in workouts, either from their own database (which includes EVERYTHING, including things like "house work" and "sexual activity"...teehee!), or with info you enter on your own.
So you log all these things throughout the day, and it keeps track of your daily "budget" and tells you how many more calories you can consume in a day. When you log in workouts, it detracts those calories burned and adds them to how many more you can eat for the day. Anyway, just thought this was pretty cool and I figured I'd share for any iPhone users out there who might be interested
