Re: A Healthy You check-in

  • QOTW: How does your DH play into your fitness or healthy eating lifestyle?  Does he help or hinder you? DH is doing WW with me this time... He has always tried to be supportive but in a way would hurt me because he would buy cookies, chips, etc.  which would be hard for me to turn away.  It all boils down to my lack of will power.  (I will say though that it is frustrating because DH loses weight so much easier than I do... while I am happy for him, we are competitive)

Please name at least one thing that you are proud of yourself for this past week.  I exercised!!!  That is a feet trying to find time... I put a baby in the carrier and went to the treadmill.... it killed my back but it was better than just sitting around

Any goals for this upcoming week? exercise at least 2 times!

  • QOTW: How does your DH play into your fitness or healthy eating lifestyle?Does he help or hinder you? We go to the gym together and he"trains" me. Pushing me despite me being difficult.

Please name at least one thing that you are proud of yourself for this past week. Well, last week wasn't a great week. no gym work and went back to Pa for the long weekend, but i didn't over eat..heck i was sick and didn't eat much to begin with so...I guess i should be proud that i at least ate something since not eating is just as bad as over eating.

Any goals for this upcoming week?

get back to the gym and hopfully have lost some more weight.

  • QOTW: How does your DH play into your fitness or healthy eating lifestyle?  Does he help or hinder you? He supports me but he doesn't really help me. He doesn't want to eat healthier or work out so I am kind of on my own when it comes to that. He will eat what I make, usually, so that is good. I was trying to get him to go to the gym with me but he doesn't want to go. He has always been thin though and hasn't changed pant size at all since I've known him! He just isn't in shape.

Please name at least one thing that you are proud of yourself for this past week. I went to the gym FIVE times last week!!! My goal is 4 a week!

Any goals for this upcoming week? make sure I stay with my exercising

  • I'm back from a brief "hiatus"...we had car issues - DH totaled his car at the end of January, found out we didn't have loss of use coverage and we had some trouble getting financing for a "new-to-us" car...and then I got a horrible cold last week.  Glad these past few weeks are behind us!

QOTW: How does your DH play into your fitness or healthy eating lifestyle? Does he help or hinder you? DH and I used to try to go to the gym together, but he's been working Saturdays, and just wants to relax on Sundays.  He's trying to lose weight, so I think I try to support him in that process.  I almost always try to eat healthy foods, but DH loves junk food, so sometimes its easy for me to make poor food choices.

Please name at least one thing that you are proud of yourself for this past week.  Getting over my cold!

Any goals for this upcoming week? I started full-force back into the gym starting yesterday, and it felt great!  My legs are a little sore, but the pain every now and then reminds me of how hard I worked!

  • QOTW: How does your DH play into your fitness or healthy eating lifestyle? Does he help or hinder you? DH has been supportive since I started doing WW last June.  He is still supportive however, not quite as much I guess.  But that's partly my fault too because I have been more lax in my eating.  He does help me by pushing me to go to the gym.  We can't go together much during the week but we go together Friday nights which is nice.

Please name at least one thing that you are proud of yourself for this past week.  Yuck, nothing.  Well, I guess on Friday my coworker brought in cupcakes and I really wanted one...but I did not have one!  Resist temptation!  This weekend was tough, we had to go OOT for DH's Aunt's funeral.  I guess I could have eaten much more than I did....but I still feel like I ate too many wrong things.

Any goals for this upcoming week? The same goal that I have had for the past 2 or 3 weeks...tracking tracking tracking...I just need to stick to it!!

  • QOTW: My DH is so supportive of me. He would also like to lose some weight so we really support each other. I like to get my workout in before work (it means getting up at 5:15 every morning) otherwise I just don't do it and he really is motivating in keeping me with it and just letting me know he notices the change in my body. He is also very supportive in eating healthy as well, he origianally wasn't as healthy of an eater as me but I've converted him. I'm following Weight Watchers recently (I use the term following loosley, I've not been the best at it this time) and he decided he wanted to follow it with me.

Please name at least one thing that you are proud of yourself for this past week: I think it would be my more realistic attitude towards food. Usually when I diet I'll get unrealistic goals and end up cheating get frustrated with myself. This week I really realized its not about how fast I can lose the weight, its about just having a healthy lifestyle. If I'm bad and slip up its not the end of the world, its about long term changes.

Goal for the upcoming week: To be better about my eating on the weekend. I'm good during the week but for some reason I lose all diciplin on the weekends.

  • QOTW: the hubs doesn't really fit into it! he can pretty much eat what he wants and he still gains, but taking the weight off is easier for him. since I'm doing most of the cooking when we're home (he has class T-W-R and I have work T-R) I get to choose what we eat, which is good. So I'm just waiting on spring when I can start cooking fresh food and go outside again. He does like to run, which is good because he will motivate me to run/walk as well. and of course he asks if I've gone to the gym (have to make sure that $'s being well-spent!)

one thing this week: I'm down .8 lbs this week! I have about 4 to go until I can fit back into my pants so hopefully with cutting out chocolate for lent and being way excited for spring I will be able to focus on eating a lot better.

goal: get thee to the gym!
