Once again I will recap that while most of you are starting families with uhm, human children, we are happily growing our family with ...furr kids.
We were just approved, after a homestudy, and good word from a fellow rescue friend, to become foster parents for a 501(c)3 certified rescue organization.
We have been approved for up to 3 kittens, bottle feeders up through elder and 1 to 2 dogs, we have requested lazy pups so that they get along all right with ours.
I just reeived my phone call. My friend received a puppy, 1.5 years old about a week ago, he is matted and very shy. He is coming to us on friday!!! I am so excited!!!!
He needs to gain 10 pounds, already neutered, blood work drawn, and shots updated.
So my job? To fatten him up and socialize him... and not fall in love with him.
His name is Calvin
Wish us luck, its our first puppy FOSTER.... all others have been emergency rescues.... including our two permanents (Corey - 8 years, from the euthanasia list at the pound and Annie, 2 years, off the streets)
Re: New Foster to Us on Friday Night!!!! *so excited*
You are doing such a wonderful thing! That puppy will be so blessed to spend time in your home. Post pics when you can.
