one glass of wine won't hurt..right?
Tonight I'm being taken out to celebrate the passing of my 20's and we are going to Flemmings. I really think I would like a glass of wine with my meal, but every time someone I know opens a bottle of a special wine and tells me to take a sip I can't do it. (let me just say nobody is trying to get me to drink drink, just taste) I think I would feel way to bad after the fact. WWYD?
Re: one glass of wine won't hurt..right?
I'll usually pour a splash of wine and fill the rest with 7UP. This way I won't feel bad after.
hi,
i haven't had any kids yet, but this always seems to be a touchy question. Most doctors/people here in our country seem to take the no drinking while pg very seriously.
That being said when I lived in europe, i saw pg women all the time drinking wine with their dinners. While their kids all seemed to turn out fine, I think if you do it here.. you could get some nasty looks from people. I mean look at how much the magazines crucify the celebrities that they catch drinking while pg.
I would call you dr. and talk to him/her about it and whatever they tell you I'd stick to their advice.
Oh....Flemmings, my dad and I were just talking about that place. :0)
I had a small glass of wine with Katie...I think she is OK. I know there have been a lot of others who have had wine while pregnant. I say go for it....but that is just me.
Happy Bday by the way!!
I celebrated the exact same thing last week.
Welcome to 30!
oohh Flemings.. I love their chipotle mac and cheese....
But on the topic of wine, there is always the camp who say "a little bit of ______ won't hurt" but at the same token, neither will it help, right? It's probably not going to hurt the baby at all, but it's not too much to ask of a PG mom to simply abstain from the good stuff for 9 short months. A glass of wine goes the way of real coffee, salami, sushi and brie cheese while PG...
