We got him this morning at about 11am ...he is now snorting at my pups who I am allowing to hide on my new couch - cause I feel guilty lol. And he is under my coffee table.
He is very very skinny with multiple abrasions and bruises He is kinda skiddish but took right to me,
Also I apparantly the first one to get him to eat... I put his food on the floor vs in the bowl - he came from Tucson AZ and a lot of folks there buy dogs and shove them outside Therefore most feed them on the patio vs in a bowl. SO I get to teach him its ok to eat from a bowl
!

Rikki - He is a poodle mix, I cant recall what he is mixed with but he was surrendered in Tucson where people leave theri pups outside 24/7
A lot of them get eaten by coyotes!
Its really sad.
CTbride - I know! Isn't it sad? I didnt realize how far Corey (our Chi-terrier mix) had come! Not only with grooming and weight but with proper social interactions and good manners! This pup has a while to go before he is adoptable. That's okay though I enjoy fostering just because it's a short term commitment, I dont have to commit to roughly 15 years of everything, plus its so nice to be able to help so many animals.
When we were fostering kittens last yr from the pound we had 42! All e-list kids. It was really really hard. But they all found homes vs being put to sleep. That's the goal here.
Thanks for the nice words all.
I just looked at him, and saw a resemblance to our dog, which is a maltese. His tail, and straight hair make me think that.
He is precious! I know you will fatten him up in no time. Hug him for me. You are doing a great thing!
