Moving Announcements-To Send or Not to Send?
My H & I just closed on our first home and I was thinking about sending out a new house/address update announcement. Are they cheesy? I am sure most people will toss it in the trash but it helps to give family and friends your new address and since it's our 1st house I would rather do something more special than a regular mass email. Thoughts? If you did get one in the mail would you like one w/ a photo of the actual house or just something cute w/ no house photo?
Thanks for the opinions!
Re: Moving Announcements-To Send or Not to Send?
A couple of my friends have sent a cute little post card just saying "We've moved and Here is our address..."
I thought it was nice.
Not many people do them these days, but I always appreciate them because I like to keep my addressbook (and my Christmas card list) up to date.
If you're looking to keep them pretty affordable, you could probably DIY them or order some of the photo cards from VistaPrint. I think they actually have a moving announcement template.
HTH!
We did "just moved" announcements and the recipients were mostly friends/family on the Christmas card lists so that they had our new address.
I used snapfish and was pleased with the results.
