DS dad wants me to go with him to the school today

He wants me to keep an open mind (which I should) but my gut is telling me not to go and stand firm on not wanting my son to go there. There is nothing wrong with the school that bought his school. Is a wonderful school with off the chart test scores. Now knowing where the school is going to be makes even more turned off. Why does a church need a youth center with plasma's and video games, or a fitness center with state of the art equipment a basketball court and locker rooms. I just don't get it.

I really don't want my son going on a tour until I have done my own research. I don't want him getting his hopes up. I just feel like I am being bullied by his mom and his FI and my opinon doesn't matter. They went today and feel in love with all the extra things. So they want to take the kids after school. I told him no way that's not fair to me and what I think. They haven't given me a chance to go. They could have called me to go with them.

I'm just so frustrated with this whole thing :(

Re: DS dad wants me to go with him to the school today

  • Wow, sorry you are going through this. ?Does DS dad pay for the school or do you have joint custody? ?Sorry I can't remember.

I hope you can come to an agreement that is good for your DS.?

  • We have 50/50 and his mom is kind enough to pay for the tuition but we pay (50/50)for all other things like reg. books, uniform etc. The school has always been a group decision. We discuss it every year what we want to do either keep him there or but him in public school. We both live in very good school districts.
