I keep 2nd guessing my stroller choices

I picked a graco infant seat and a graco SNG because I thought it would be nice, easy and compact for day to day errands and a pep perego aria to use once she is big enough to be out of the car seat. Should I get a bigger stroller instead of the lightweight aria? I remember i had a big bulky travel system w/DS and I hated the big stroller and ended up get a lightweight one.

Re: I keep 2nd guessing my stroller choices

  • We had a graco w/ SNG travel system.  And from what it looks like the graco stroller looks to be about the same as the aria.  (I'm just looking at pics online and have no clue really about the aria.)  Is the aria lighter weight than the graco.

IMO, I liked the graco stroller for it's under seat storage and it's price is reasonable.  I have never had a peg perego product, so I really can't comment on that.  I do wish however that the graco was lighter in weight, but we made do.

    HTH!  Good luck!

  • The aria is 9 lbs

the graco that matches my car seat is 20'ish pounds. the websites says it weighs less then 20.

    the SNG frame is 12

maybe i should go play with them again.

  • I have only had a graco travel system. ?It hasn't even been very hard for me, but then I am 5'9" and have a tahoe, so I don't have to worry about it fitting it in a trunk or really lifting it. ?I just slide it in and out. ?I have no complaints about it & Jacob really likes it. ?It is comfy for him, we still use it.
  • Michelle has a great point.  I have a van and similarly just slide the graco stroller in and out.  Our other car is a Honda Accord, and it's not AS easy to slide it into but it certainly does fit into the trunk.

We still use our graco strollers too...we have both a singe and tandem... ~sigh!~  ;-)

  • I had a Graco car seat and the snap n go stroller which I thought was awesome.  Then, I also have the Graco big ton stroller that really isn't all that convenient in stores and other errands that I run.  So, I use that if I go to the zoo or somewhere where I will be able to appreicate the under stroller storage that Mia speaks of.  For more of an everday stroller, I have a MacClaren (sp) and it folds up so easily, has a small under stroller storage and reclines so Gavin can take a nap in it.  It also has a great shoulder strap for when it is folded up...which comes in quite hand when you are at the airport lugging everything else along.
  • I orignally got the Graco carseat and matching stroller (the Quattro) and hated it.  I got the SNG and loved it.  Once she grew out of the infant seat, we got a Maclaren Quest, then a Bob Revolution.  I used the Quattro maybe 5 times and ended up selling it.

I'm 5'7" and drive a Tahoe too so space wasn't the issue, it was the bulkiness of the stroller and ease of using the lighter weight one.  Maybe you can wait to see what your need will be when you are done using the SNG?
