Today's Question: 2/28

What was the best toy you ever owned?

Re: Today's Question: 2/28

  • My favorite toy, (if it can be called that) was my collage kit.  It had everything from glitter and colored macaroni to aquarium rocks, feathers, sequins, felt, sand, etc.

I could spend hours and hours creating "art" with that kit.  My parents bought it from some mail order toy catalogue when I was a kid, and when they saw how much I loved it they ordered multiples and just kept them in a closet until I ran through all the materials in the kit I was currently using.

  • My favorite toy was either my Tiger Bike-when I was like 3, or the Dollhouse that my dad and I built around that same time-that I still have-it's in our garage and will be getting a decor facelift this summer-has the 80's carpet, wallpaper and "appliances" and just needs a little update.

Other than that, it would have to the be the piano my parents bought when I was 8 and had until last year. I was required to take lessons for 10 years, but now I just enjoy playing the keyboard I have here. :-D

  • I didn't get many toys as a kid, we were raised in the country and expected to play outside all the time. Sooo I would have to say books were my best toy. I would lay on the hammock and read when I was in school for hours!! I loved it!

  • Do dolls count?  If so, I loved my Baby Crissy doll  so much.  In fact I loved her a little too much that she looked like she went thru a war.  So I shipped her to a doll hospital and got her restored.  Now she sits all pretty and perfect in a clear box that NO ONE is allowed to touch.

I loved my Barbie Dream house and all my Barbies, my Cheryl Ladd (Charlie's Angels) doll, My Jaime Sommers (Bionic Woman) doll,  My fashion plates,  My big wheel

    I could go on!

  • Mrs. Bush that sounds awesome.  I would have gladly traded my collection of barbies for a hammock to read in.

I hate to say it, my best toy was probably my "Hugga Bunch" doll.  I had that thing forever.  She lost her clothes at some point.  I remember she would get so dirty from me dragging her around everywhere.  My big brother stepped on her, and her head came off.  I think she was repaired with super glue close to 5 or 6 times.  My mom found the doll plus my blankie a few years back when she was cleaning the attic out.  So now the doll and my blankie sit on the guest bed at their house.  Its so cute!

  • It wasn't really a toy, but my favorite was my tree house.  I more or less lived out there from age 6 to 10.
  • my dollhouse most likely.  i was always changing around the furniture, decorating it for holidays, etc.

i did love my barbies & cabbage patch kids too though :)
