I've said it both ways (wain-scott-ing and wains-coating) but I guess dictionary.com says it's wain-scot-ing

I used to work at the Apartment Guide and one of the clients spelled it Wayne's coating.  We were all like, WTF?

I heard it pronounced "Wains-coating" the other day which is what prompted me to find out! I've always heard it pronounced wain-scotting and that day was the first time I'd ever heard it pronounced any differently. The person who said it is knowledgeable about so many different things and rather than think she was mispronouncing it, I automatically felt embarrassed that I'd been mispronouncing it all these years. Based on these replies, I guess it could be pronounced EITHER (ee-thur) or EITHER (aye-thur) way!
