Tips for finding a nanny? (Fort Campbell area)

Just got orders to Fort Campbell and we'll be moving in Sept/Oct when baby is just 3 or 4 months old.  I'm wondering how common it is to have a nanny in this area?  Any tips or local websites where I might find someone?

Would also appreciate feedback on any daycare in the area!

TIA :)

Re: Tips for finding a nanny? (Fort Campbell area)

  • I live in the FTC area, and haven't heard of many nannys.  I know that there is on-base childcare, and my friend is pleased with them.  Sorry, I'm not much help just yet.  But, HTH!
  • I am not familiar with your area but Ive worked as a nanny for a few years now. Try doing some research for actual nannying agencies. They are usually your best bet because a good agency will require the nanny to have a background check, valuable experience with children, back-up nannys (in case of emergency), ect. If you go about finding one on your own, don't hesitate to ask for a background check from the nanny and provide the same for him/her. Safety is priority! Good luck and I hope you find someone great that will fit in well with your family!
