I used to work in Human Resources for the County and used to do their recruitment and testing for Deputy Sheriff's Cadet/Lateral for a couple of years.  I might be able to help.  Any specific questions?

Oh wow, very cool! ?DH is applying and I am just curious how long the hiring process takes, if all goes well. ?He is an academy graduate and completed part of FTO with a department but was asked to resign because he was struggling with high stress calls. ?Now, he gets real far into the hiring process but our departments and counties are all cutting back due to budget issues. ?DH is on the hiring list with a few departments. ?Now, I am losing my job due to budget issues. ?(We are in Northern California). This may be a great opportunity to go where we have always wanted to be...SD and DH wants to be a part of a department where he can work in the jails or courts before going on the streets.
