Fabric Stores

I have the sewing bug right now. Any good fabric stores for making skirts and such. I would prefer south of town

Re: Fabric Stores

  • Fabric for clothing?  Humm. . . not sure.  Textile Fabrics on Franklin Road in Nashville might be a good bet for you.

I do mostly home stuff and really like Fabric House and Associated Salvage.

  • Unless you are looking for upholstery and drapery fabrics or quilting/smocking supplies, the selection is abysmal.

There really is only one good fabric store in the area.  Textile Fabric Store.  Not the cheapest, but the nicest, best quality and most tasteful of fabrics for clothing.

For cheap end, Hancock is OK (I think there's one around Gallatin).  Not great quality and kinda tacky but they stock better than the next few.  If you go through the Hancock's catalog (based out of Paducah, I think) you can get a better selection.

Far, far down the list is Joann's and Hobby Lobby.  It's bad selection and lower quality stuff.  But it still may be something
