What do you think of www.compostfarm.com? Do you know anything about them?

I have heavy red clay soil and want to build a new bed and add some top dressing to my current beds. I'm growing strawberries, raspberries, herbs and then I have room for veggies and I'm thinking potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, peas, beans, and maybe aspargus

Re: AmyKevin

  • I don't know anything about them, and I wouldn't because I have always made my own fertilizer from the horse & chicken manure. That seems so expensive! The soil here in middle Tennessee is horrible! In Chattanooga we had the Georgia Red Clay, but it was richer. I have 8 different soil types just on my 6 acre farm here! Have you ever grown strawberries before? You won't typically get anything from them the first year.
  • I planted my strawberries last year. We got about 3 berries a day. My dad said we should get about a quart/a plant this year.

I don't think my HOA would appreciate me getting a cow so I can make my own compost....

  • Maybe they wouldn't mind if you gave them a side of beef! Haha! ;)

From what I read, it sounds like great quality....I just don't know anything about them personally!
