I really hate when it snows and I get nothing out of it other than a headache. I almost got hit by the plow in my development this morning--did he not see me cleaning my car off?! The roads were only half plowed and the 295/76 interchange thing was a mess. I get out of my car at work and almost fell on my @$$. I had to grab my car so I didn't fall down. On top of that, our street is under construction so I had to walk half a mile through sleet and crazy wind (we're right on the water) carrying my purse, my lunch, 2 huge water bottles, 2 school books, 2 binders and a massive laptop.
Can you tell I'm miserable and wish I would have stayed home?! How was everyone else's commute? I'm so jealous of you teachers!
Re: Effing snow
Awww Izzy that really sucks! We got a call around 8:30 last night that school was closed today. H got up this morning and started shoveling and digging his way out and then his boss sent a text that he was closing the office and he could work from home.
My kids are so cute, I think this is the most snow they've ever seen. Their grandmother gave them a big giant inflatable snowflake sled one year and they've never been able to use it. It's still coming down pretty steady right now, but I think we'll take them sledding later if it clears up a little.
wasnt it 60 on friday? how do we hav 10in today?
Sorry Izzy that does suck! I stayed home today. I was worried that they said that there was another phase of snow coming and I know that the roads by work are never cleared or salted until well after the snow. I didnt want to drive 40 minutes and get stuck there.
I hate snow. I knew we were going to get one more storm this year.
Luckily I work from home and DH elected to work from home today too.
