Cable v. Satellite/phone/internet

Hi all,

We are trying to figure out the best option for when we move to our house.  We've had Timewarner cable for some time now... cable, DVRs, home phone (yes, my husband wants to keep a phone line for our fax, etc.) and wireless internet... our bill this past month was $185.  Did I hear a collective gasp... I don't blame you!

We need to figure out what option would be best now, for the cheapest phone option, internet (router and wireless), and either cable (basic with 2 to 3 DVRs) or satellite.  Anyone who has any advice to offer... I'd greatly appreicate it! :)

Re: Cable v. Satellite/phone/internet

  • I'm on the Kansas side, and Comcast is even more expensive than Time Warner. Stay far away from them.

I don't which part of town you're moving to, but if you can get Sunflower or Everest, do it. They're much cheaper.
