WHY: To tell Petland to STOP selling puppies
In November 2008, the Humane Society of the United States released the results of their 8-month-long investigation on the retailer Petland. They found that many of the Petland stores across the country are marketing puppy mill puppies to consumers.
On January 10, 2009, 22 demonstrations were held across the country to tell Petland to stop selling puppies. The second demonstration will be held on March 14, 2009, and this time we?re involved!
