I couldn't find anything else on tv tonight and stumbled upon this garbage. I won't even get into why all this is just so wrong on so many levels in my HUMBLE opinion LOL...but I'm going to just be mean and catty and say that for what most of these moms spend on sparkly little gowns, fake hair, teeth and eyelashes for these babies, and God only knows what else...they could have some of their own teeth replaced. OMG...one little brat in particular Kayleigha (or however you spell it) at maybe four years old was screaming at her Daddy to shut up and even slapped him...what are these mothers thinking?
Re: toddlers and tiaras
That was my thought exactly when I saw this commercial. I love most reality tv, but this show just takes it to a whole new level. It is one thing when adults want to exploit themselves, but this is horrible!
children exploited at its best.
So horrible. I watched a show or two and I don't think it's dramatized, as I think they show you just what they are all about. These parents are awful.
They, as a group, really fit my descripton of white trash, although they weren't all white. That show and the people in it made a very bad impression on me. All those "coaching" mamas whirling around on the sidelines, I had to laugh. As I said, for what they spent trying to make a Cinderella out of a spoiled little brat, they could have replaced some of Mama's teeth. As for the kid in her underwear...as I said, just a seriously trashy mama...Idiots.
Oh yeah, I let Lauren be in a couple too...for fun. I did do her hair to some degree (although the curls fell out long before she went onstage)...I put a little bit of blush, some really soft gloss and tipped her lashes with mascara, that was it. Even back then there were some mothers who did the full blown makeup and concrete hair. I just told her to go out and have fun and she was totally a six year old onstage. Her smile was real, her walk was very non professional and she had a good time. These folks are serious...and yes those fake teeth freak me out, what six year old has perfect teeth? Later when I began to judge pageants I always judged the "real" little girls with much higher scores than the phoney ones.
