Good morning ladies!
So Sandy and I went shopping last night and found some FABULOUS curtains for the living room (which we are currently re-doing) and they were on CLEARANCE!! So we haven't painted in there yet and we had some colors picked...but we loved the curtains SO much we ended up making some minor changes to our paint colors. But it is going to be GORGEOUS!! Plus...we are going ahead with a partial kitchen makeover too but we're going to keep it in a decent budget by re-puposing some of our current stuff.
We are rushing home after work today to get started and we are giddy like little girls at Christmas!! ha ha! Smiles a mile wide!
We are going to tear down part of a wall to open it up more between the kitchen and living room. We both prefer a nice open floor plan. OH!! And we also bought our first set of plates as a couple last night to go with the new fun colors we are doing in the kitchen!!
Sorry for the long rambling post but WOOHOO are we excited!!

Re: re-modeling...on a budget...
Awww that sounds like fun!
E and I are still nesting in the new apartment and we just bought our first set of dinnerware (a beautiful yellow I am taking to home depot to get the color for the paint on the wall) too!
Enjoy demolition it's E's fave part! lol.

So I checked out your blog and got a good chuckle from your phrase "luxury vinyl". We will also be going this route initially and then later this year or next, we plan to do the entire house (except utility and bathrooms) in laminate wood flooring. But I am trying to get out of some debt right now so we decided to go cheap "faux" for now and upgade later. At this point I am STILL ecstatic about ANY CHANGE to the flooring as the current one is UGLY!!! ha ha! We are even planning ahead by not putting 9,000,000 nails in the baseboards so they are easy to remove later for the wood flooring installation....
