Introducing myself

Hello again! I've already posted a couple of times on this board, and I've gotten some really great advice, so thanks again to everyone here! I wanted to officially introduce myself, since I'll probably be on this board more often. My husband and I are officially moving to the Clemson area this summer, and I'm both excited and scared out of my mind :)

I've never lived anywhere outside of MA, so I know it'll be a bit of a change to be in SC but I think I'll love it. I'm looking forward to meeting new people and trying new things over the next couple of years.

I currently work for a non-profit charity event. We have a puppy, Whitman, and I don't know what we did before we got him. I love to bake (and cook too, but especially baking). I think we'll spend a lot of time outside exploring the area--DH loves to hike, and I enjoy it too. I have no clue what I'll do for a job (and finding a job is incredibly scary to me right now!) but I'm looking forward to whatever happens.

Anyway, that's us in a small nutshell. I look forward to learning more about our new home from you gals :)

Re: Introducing myself

  • Welcome to SC!  You will love it here- I never want to move!  We live in Clemson now but we're moving to Greenville in June.  My husband and I like to hike too, and there are a lot of good trails and state parks around here.  Jones Gap is a great one to check out, and there's Caesar's Head and Table Rock too.  If you need any help or have any questions, I'd be glad to help you out!

  • I love Clemson!  (And I hope you will too!!)  DH and I went to school there...and now we live in Greenville.  There is a lot of hiking and waterfalls and all kinds of outdoor stuff to do in Clemson.  Then you have Greenville which has shopping, entertainment, arts, etc.  I love the  area!

And feel free to share any of your baking recipes with us!  :)  I love to have something new to try whenever I need something for a get together!

  • Welcome!  Glad to have you!  Start chiming in on our daily questions!

It's a bit of a haul from Clemson, but DH works at the Greenville Hospital System in the office of Philanthropy.  I can page you if anything ever opens up in his department if you'd be willing to do the commute.
