Your first anniversary is coming up next weekend! Are you guys doing anything special???

Awww, that's so sweet of you to remember! We don't have any definitive plans yet, unfortunately. I was hoping we might get to have the honeymoon we never had, but we're both really busy at work so we decided to stay at least somewhat close to home and not take any time off. I am hoping we get away from the house, though, even if it is just a short weekend thing or a couple of nights at a nice hotel.
We're currently thinking Rehoboth since that's our default vacation spot when we don't have much time. Do you know of anywhere else close (within 4 hrs or so) that we should consider? I would really like to get some relaxing in before we hop on the ttc train.
The only thing I've planned so far is... CAKE! I called the place that made our wedding cake, and ordered a little 6 inch cake in the same flavor we had. (The top tier was served, so we don't have any year-old cake to defrost.) I am picking it up on Friday and will have to figure out how to hide it until Sunday. Hmmm....

I remembered because we share a wedding anniversary!
What about Charlottesville? There are a lot of cute B&Bs and inns in that area - and lots of wineries (if that is of interest!) plus some really good restaurants.
I know there are some great spas not to far - co-workers were talking about them today. I can get the information if you are interested.
What about Philly? I keep saying we are going to go - but so far we haven't been - which is ridiculous since it is 2 hours away! But there is good touristy things, good food, and not too far.
I am hoping to go to Rehoboth this summer for a day or two. I've only been once - right after we started dating - so 7 or 8 years ago - and I really loved it.
I love that you got a top layer - that is so cute and sweet!
And I definately reccomend going away before TTC. I really wish we'd traveled more pre-kids. 
Oh, and I have a friend with severe PCOS and thanks to Dr. Sacks, she know has a beautiful 2 year old!
