Hi! Did you seriously do laser hair removal on your brazilian area?? Ouch!! I've actually done laser before - lower legs and upper lip, but I can't even imagine getting the brazilian area done! Was it crazy painful? Did you use numbing cream? How many sessions did you have to go? Thanks! Sorry for all of the questions - you are a brave woman!

Re: **brezovay**

  • ----butting in----- I had laser done years ago- I was a freshman in college so I don't remember all the details. I didn't do "brazilian" but I had a "landing strip." How's that for TMI !?! :) Anyway, I was super pleased with the results. Now... I still have to shave a little bit. But I think they're improved it so much, that I'm considering getting it redone and I bet I wouldn't have to shave ever again!

  • Lauren - thanks so much for the info! Laser really has improved. I had my lower legs done a million years ago when it first came out. I had my upper lip done fairly recently, a few years ago before my wedding. The improvement in laser was really dramatic! The results were faster, more effective, and less painful.
  • if you don't mind me asking, where did you go to get the laser done? I know it's pricey, but eventually if it saves the $50 a month for the waxing, it's totally worth it!
  • Oct1406 - in my brazilian wax post, brezovay said she had it done at Smooth Solutions. I checked out their website today. I'm PG now, but after I have this baby (like months later!), I might be brave enough to at least go in for a consultation.
  • Smooth Solutions.... ~10 yrs ago.

  • Yeah, I guess you can say I have a high tolerance for pain.  It is uncomfortable, I am not going to lie.  numbing cream???  There is numbing cream...no one  has every offered me that.   I have had the cold gel, and to me, that doesn't do a damn thing.  I have had 5 sessions so far since May 06 and LOOOOVE my results.  You are supposed to go every 3-4 months, but I haven't had to go in over 6 months.  I had my underarms done too, because when you are hispanic, and have dark, thick hair, it can really be unpleasant!!  I just really like the fact that the hair is so much smoother and much more fine.
  • How funny...we just covered this topic in my office...great office chatter, huh?  I just did laser...brazilian and underarms.  It was pretty painful for  me but I have a low tolerance for pain.  You just can beat the results though.  It's worth it!  I went to MedSpa FX and Nikki at Dr. Ross' office (she's a great dermatologist too!)

  • I would also agree that Brezovay has a high tolerance for pain. She kicked my lazy a$$ all over the place in hs!!!! :) Lauren = low tolerance for pain. I drank a glass of red wine AND took two Aleve before getting lazered!!
