I've worked out only a little bit (and I really mean a little bit) at home over the past year, but yesterday I finally went to the gym (for the second time since I got my membership last August
)! My left arm and leg have been hurting this past week, and I've been worried about blood clots b/c of the type and location of the pain in my leg. My total cholesterol level is just over 200, which is the max for all your cholesterol types, although by bad (HDL) levels were within normal range. The total shouldn't be over 200 and I know my LDL could be better but I think it's my triglycerides that are high. Anyway, it finally hit me that I have got to get off my lazy but and get my body in a better place, not just for me but pregnancy sometime in the near or far future. I've got ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, asthma, scholiosis, family history of high blood pressure, and thyroidism - too many reasons to be lazy! Anyway, I went to a class at the gym and loved it! At first I wondered if I could make it the entire 55 minutes, but I took a puff of my inhaler before starting and I did it! I felt so good afterwards, ate some Cheerios (for my cholesterol), went to bed at 9:30, and woke up feeling more comfortable than I've been in a long time. I don't feel super tired this morning unlike I usually do. I'm so happy that I did something for myself and DH was so proud of me. He's been really worried about me because I always feel so tired. I think this time I'll really keep it up!
Re: AW: I finally did it!
Good for you! When I first started working out about 10 months ago, I couldn't even do ten minutes of cardio without thinking I was going to die. Now, I am really pleased with my current level of fittness. I just wish I could start eating better.
Keep up the good work!
