Need restaurant ideas for a bridal shower

So, I'm working on a friends' bridal shower. So far we have decided we want to have it at a restaurant. She (the bride) says we will have between 10-15 people. Any ideas?

Re: Need restaurant ideas for a bridal shower

  • What about Olive Garden. I was in a wedding last year and the bride and groom had the rehearsal dinner there, it was very yummy!

  • What's the budget? What part of town are you looking at?

  • It isnt a restaurant but there is a super cute tea place in Baldwin Park that serves tea in the little vintage cups and muffins and stuff. I've seen alot of Bridal Showers there..

We thought about Olive Garden, but we want a place that we could have a private room. I don't want to have a party and have her opening gifts in the middle of a crowded dining room.

We don't really have a set budget. There are 4 bridesmaids and the bride's mother sharing the cost. Because the bride will be driving in from Tampa and the rest of us of pretty spread out through Orlando, we're pretty open to locations.

Hi Autumn! What is the name of the tea place? That might be an option worth looking into.

Trish's Tea Room.  It's really cute.

  • I agree with the PP about Trish's Tea Room -- it's super cute.  Another restaurant with a nice private room is Stonewood in Lake Mary.  It's right off I-4 so it's convenient for out of town guests.  The room is completely closed off and the staff can provide decor and a personalized menu.  Very yummy!
  • McCormick & Schmick's at Millenia Mall has a private room, and if you do a lunch event, their group menu prices aren't too terrible. Can't remember what the minimum spend is there, though.

Roy's has a couple private rooms, but it's definitely more expensive and is open for dinner only.

Maggiano's on I Drive also has private rooms. I can't remember if they're open for lunch or not.

You could also try the restaurants at CityWalk. Most of them have spaces for private events.

    Happy planning!

I totally understand- my friends had the back room and it was only them so no one else was in the same room. You can always call to ask, they are pretty accomodating. I used to work there back in college.

  • Hi- I'm a little late on cutting in on this but maybe this can be helpful. Olive Garden depending on the location does have private areas/and or rooms, however they will only reserve those areas or rooms before 4pm :) Buca Di Beppo has some private areas and hold a lot of rehearsal dinners and parties there as well. They do not have a time limit or anything like that so its nice. Houlihans on international drive has a whole private room upstairs that they rent out which is really nice. Its got its own bar area and patio etc. Another suggestion is I saw that Fridays on internation drive by Pointe Orlando has a private toom as well. None of the other local locations do but they have a totally seperate room :) Hopefully that helps. Thanks
