  • we loooove gymboree. ?never tried the other, though, so i can't say which is "better."

  • I'll throw another one in the mix for you...Little Gym!  I can't speak about Gymboree, haven't been to one.

We tried both My Gym and Little Gym and found that Little Gym worked better for DS because the things that they have for the kids to play on are actual smaller sized gymnastic equipment.

Whereas at My Gym (at least the one in Pasadena) was sort of just patched together slides, ladders, ramps...and it was all held together with bungee cords and baby gates.  I thought that was just kind of strange.

Not sure what area you live in and if you even have a Little Gym to look into, but if you can, I would give it a shot too.  Goodluck

  • I have the same problem as well. I called both places and my gym is having an open house march 15th. they are wanting new members to join;  where i live.they are giving out flyers to NEW members only at 50% off so maybe you need to call your local mygym and ask for specials going on . my gym is an bit cheaper vs. gymboree is asking for 75.00 a month. Just my view so im not sure which gym i will choose.

  • We did my gym in pasadena, on arroyo parkway. ?Mindy I never saw things that were patched together, but maybe by the time we left things had changed a little. ?We stopped going when J was around 9 mos, they kept changing the instructors on us and I really just didn't like the vibe, the class sizes kept getting larger too.

The mom of one of J's class mates takes her little daughter to PCC, they has classes just like my gym & gymboree and the best part of al is that they are free! ?Just call the early childhood ed dept and find out about the mommy & me classes.?
