quick dinner places around Keller Auditorium

My DH and I are going to Wicked tonight at the Keller Auditorium, but won't have much time to grab a bite to eat.

I was hoping you ladies might have some suggestions for some quick places right around the theater?

Thanks
Theresa

Re: quick dinner places around Keller Auditorium

  • Fun! I don't know anything really close by there, but the food court in Pioneer Place has some good selections. We always share a wrap.
  • Have fun, Wicked is AMAZING!

There's a Quizno's on the corner of 3rd and Clay(right across the street from Keller) if you need "fast food".  Also Rose's Deli, I think it's called, has quick sandwiches and salads.  It's 1.5 blocks further away than Quiznos, in the same direction on 3rd.

There's a cute wine bar on the street level of the "200 Market" building (big black building) that is just across the street from the Keller, but I can't remember the name.  It's something clever and "wine sounding".  Good wine selection, decent food, French appetizers, brie, etc.  It will probably be PACKED.

There's a great Chinese restaurant on 1st and Columbia called "Mandarin Cove".  It's where I, personally, would go if I were going to a play tonight.  They have really good food, they're quick, it shouldn't be packed, and it's relatively inexpensive, compared to other places downtown.  I recommend the Cashew Chicken, it's delish.  Here's some other reviews:

I would park on 1st and Columbia in that parking lot, eat at Mandarin Cove, and walk the 3 blocks to the Keller.

  • I'm a fan of Restaurant Murata (Japanese) and Carafe (French). Both are very good and if you let them know you are seeing a show, they are very accomodating. I would make reservations if possible because they can be popular before / after shows.
  • Carafe is the one I was talking about!!  See, a "cute wine sounding name" Yes
