I'm typically not stingy with food but...
I don't think it's all that nice or appropriate that when you offer people in the office "some of my snack" they take like 1/3 of it.

Re: I'm typically not stingy with food but...
That's why I usually don't share.
?
-- stingy?
was just gonna post this....to me that makes a difference.
Hava Chips.
They are the best corn/tortilla/potato chips ever. I believe they are made with soy sauce. So bomb.
"hava chips" = Have'a Corn Chips
Mystery solved.
I still don't know what these are.
But they are chips.
When you tell someone she can have "some," that's a handful.
And that bag looks small.?
Hmmm... if it's a big bag, then maybe she misunderstood. Or thought you didn't need that much.

Another stingy person that only gives away food to lessen the calorie load

my eyebrows shot up into my hairline when i got to the plate part.
that's not cool, yo.
i have a group of CWs that we all share food regularly. we'll just bring a bag of something to lunch and let everyone take some. however, we actually hide it when certain people come to the table b/c when they see it, they don't even ask to take any, they just dive right in.
i'd have been totally annoyed in your case.
I told my mom on the phone and she said God would want me to share and it's the right thing to do, and that maybe she is hungry because with the economy food is so expensive so maybe she isn't eating much at home.
Way to make me feel guilty Mom.
Or maybe she's just rude, and taking advantage of your kindness. Getting a plate is obnoxious.
this.
um, no.
This is usually the reason why when I offer some of my food I just usually say, "would you like to try ONE".
Also it depends on the person, but I know better than to take a bunch of someone elses food.
These were in my OOT guest bags! Ah the memories.
