Havent Been on in lets face it years, but need some advice ladies :)
Hi Ladies,
It's been such a long time since I posted, hell even logged onto the nest.. but this was the first place I thought of when my current situation came up. My husband was offered an opportunity to relocate to Vegas and the deal sounds pretty amazing, however I wouldn't be moving just yet. I would like to get any advice on the good/bad areas to live we would be renting at first, and I would also like to know what the job market is like. I know it all depends, but I have expierence in retail, customer service, medical records and skip tracing. Any info would be appreciated!
Thanks
Laura

I love Vegas. My favorite parts of town are Green Valley (89074, 89052, 89044--Anthem area), Southern Highlands (89141), Rhodes Ranch (can't recall zipcode), and Nevada Trails (can't remember the zip). I live in Mountain's Edge and while I originally loved it, the economic downturn has really affected the area and the building has completely stopped, both residential and commercial. There's no infrastructure whatsoever.
You are right about the job market--totally depends on what you do. The legal field is staying busy, depending on the type of law. I've seen an increase in work and our office is one of the few in the company that is actually planning to hire within the next month or two. I can't speak for other industries, but I do know that there are jobs to be had here.
I don't have kids, but I see tons of stuff to do with kids here in town. There's not as much of a sense of community as some smaller towns around the country, but I still feel like there are things to keep kids busy. Again, I don't speak from personal experience, just based on what friends and family have told me.
