Anyone sell...

Avon, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, etc?  I was thinking about looking in to one of these types of products to start selling.  I was thinking some of the ladies here did sell something like this.  What are the pros/cons?  If you don't mind me asking, do you make a good profit?

ditto...I was thinking about getting into something like this too.

  • Funny you should ask, I just signed up last week to sell Avon.

I did a lot of research over many years because I've been toying with this idea for a long time. I had Mary Key reps after me for at least ten years. I considered a lot of other cosmetics lines and this one was the one that made sense to me because: It's middle of the road in price, their technology is fabulous, it cost all of ten dollars to sign up, Avon is a well respected company, they don't require you to keep any inventory on hand if you don't want to, they set up a website for you, customers can purchase from the site and Avon will ship to them...when they buy from the site you just make money without really having to do anything...I'm just getting my feet wet with this so I don't have all the answers just yet...but I can send you some info if you think you want it. If you should decide to do this and sign up under me that will help me and definitely would  impress the L out of my rep. LOL

I see a lot of potential pros and really nothing negative about this.

I was with Clinique for almost ten years, Merle Norman for over six...just got tired of the routine of retail, retired and then after a year I missed my contact with people. I also don't mind having extra money to play with. My rep is a guy...he is doing VERY well and last week delivered over $1,000 in orders.

  • I am a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. I've only been doing it for a month, but I LOVE it!! It costs $100 to sign up and get the start up kit. The start up kit consists of more than $300 worth of product, plus training materials and supplies you would need to do skin care classes and facials. It is a great way to make extra money, meet new friends, and have to opportunity to win prizes and earn cars!

If you would like more information, you can visit my website at www.marykay.com/lshuford . At the bottom of the page it has links to the career opportunities. Let me know if you have any other questions!

  • Sorry, I forgot to add some things...

We make 50% of our sales. I had a skin care class today and sold $300 worth of product. My profit from that is $150 and I only worked for 3 hours including set up and clean up!

If you are really interested and would like to talk to someone, I can set up a conference call with you and my sales director. She is AMAZING! We are non territoral and we have no quotas, so you can sell to anyone in the U.S. as long as they do not already have a Mary Kay sales consultant. You can email me with any questions at lshuford@marykay.com

  • I sell PAmpered Chef. its pretty easy to sell. You can buy a website from them witch makes things super easy. You get a ton of free products. Start up is $200 or have some really good shows and it will pay for your start up kit. Like I said it pretty much sells itself.
