Thanks! We did get to the Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch/early dinner on Saturday (even though our anniversary was Sun - it was the only day we could find a sitter!) and had a meal w/o the kids! It was so nice to talk about something other than the kids or making chit-chat with a couple of toddlers!
We didn't celebrate on Sunday since L had to do school work and was gone from 6:30am-3pm. We did go to get burgers and fries as s family for dinner!
What about you? Did you guys go anywhere?
Cheesecake Factory, yum! I can imagine it was nice to have strictly adult conversation for a little bit.
We did end up going to Rehoboth...for a little bit (not even 24 hrs-- got in late Sat afternoon, left early Sun afternoon). Life conspired against us and kept us from leaving Friday afternoon and made us have to come back early on Sunday (and by "life" I mean family drama with S's family). It was good to get away for a little bit, but it would have been nice to have more time. We are planning to have a "do-over" anniversary dinner so we can relax and really celebrate.
The highlight of our trip was sitting on the beach talking about kiddos (future ones, I mean). It was nice to just sit and listen to the ocean and chat. Our lives are so busy, we don't have much time to be in sit-and-chat mode.
