Uhhhh, what just happend???!!!! Was that the "Lez" movie or what?? I am so confused right now, and honestly, did not like how it ended. However, I do have to say, the looking back on 6 years brought tears to my eyes. I really am sad it is over

So what do you all think about the ending??
Re: L Word
Sadly, I can't watch. I've decided that in order to keep the show, on the list of shows I love, I can't watch a terrible ending of such a good show.
However, I'll read here.
Huge disappointment, just as I expected. It's fine to leave things open-ended if they are well-written and therefore have some kind of point! This was not only only open-ended, but I really felt there was no point. Sure, Jenny was a major character from the beginning, but it's mostly been an ensemble show, and the finale was allllll about Jenny.
I will take a peek at these "interrogation videos," but how unrealistic were those interrogations??? They would not be asking for their life stories - they would be trying to put together a time-line of the night to know exactly what happened! So that aggravates me too - those police officers wouldn't care about the several year back story of who slept with who and who fell in love with who. DUMB.
As for the spin-off, I hope it does not get picked up. Ilene Chaiken has already said that the only thing that makes it a "spin-off" is that Alice will be in it - it's not going to continue the LWord stories. And I think she had her chance to make her lesbian show - I don't want her to have another one after the way she ran this one into the ground.

I watched the last 15-20 minutes and wondered if the writers were embarrassed for writing such a crappy season - and especially last episode. It was painful.
So, the new show with Alic isn't going to be about lesbians? Huh.
According to Ilene Chaiken, there will be lesbians (or at least relationships between women), but it's not going to be The L-Word, Continued. It's a womens' prison drama. She says she wants to do a serious drama about the relationships and stories in a womens' prison. Because, you know, she did such a good job telling "our stories" on TLW...

All I can say about that is UGH.
The whole thing is so upsettting. Ilene is crazy and I think the cast knows it. If you watched the special they all seemed to be saying they didn't like how things went, but in a tactful way.
The best part of this episode was that they mercifully left out that shiteous theme song as our parting gift.
