Few more questions about visiting the Keys
Hi Ladies! DH and I are going to a wedding in Fort Lauderdale, so we're thinking of renting a convertable and driving down to Key Largo one day. Is it possible to snorkle without having to take a charter? I know they are not a lot of beaches, but can you recommend a good place for tanning, swimming and snorkling?
TIA!
Re: Few more questions about visiting the Keys
honestly, since they removed america outdoors, i don't think there are many actual beaches... you can go into john pennekamp and not do a charter, but hang out in the beach, picnic area. there's a small fee for parking and entrance... but honestly, their charters are great. they have one that goes out on a catemaran, and they actually take you to some nice spots. it's well worth it!
you can also check out this site that just came up in a search i did for key largo beaches...
