Advice for a Nebraska Nestie

Hey everyone, I live in Omaha, Nebraska and am getting ready to graduate college and am starting to look for jobs.  I am looking at surrounding areas.  Does KC have a job website? Or would anyone know any good companies? TIA!

  • There is this annonying commercial on the radio that is advertising www.kansascityhelpwanted.com however I haven't checked it out.  Maybe you could find some good stuff on there.  Let us know what field of work so we could suggest companies.  Good luck in your search.

  • You can also search www.kchasjobs.com

As for companies, we have a number of large companies here - I'm sure you'll find something within your major.

  • My degree is in Business Administration emphasis Management.  I have worked in the banking and marketing fields too.
  • DH works for DST Systems as a computer programmer, but they also have business analysts on their teams. A friend who had a BBA degree was employed there for a while before switching to another company closer to her house. DST has great benefits too.

Their website is dstsystems.com. The friend that used to work there now works for Perceptive Software and loves it. Their site is http://www.imagenow.com/careers

Both of these are tech-y companies, so I'm not sure if that falls w/in your interests/skills, but thought I'd post them fyi. Good luck in your job search!
