We have some German friends (no children) coming to visit us at the end of April and they'll be here for two weeks so I'm trying to put together a list of things to do but I need some help.
I think I've pretty much exhausted the list of things to do in Kansas City so now I'm expanding my list to things in the area (or farther) to see and do, so does anyone have any ideas?
I'm talking things like visiting the KS state capital, a trip to St. Louis (although not a day trip really), a trip to Branson (another overnight trip), etc. They'll be renting a car so it's not like I have to tote them everywhere which is nice but I need to give them a good idea of things to do and see.
I'm open to all sorts of ideas as I've got no clue what they'd be interested in.
Thanks!

For shorter day trips, I love Parkville and Weston. They are both similar small towns with lots of shops and restaurants, and I believe there are also some wineries in Weston.
You may even look into a trip to Jeff City, MO to see the Capital there. It's a nice smaller city to walk around.
