Looks like we are staying...
We had been really looking at selling our house and moving into a new subdivision but after a lot of hard thought, we are going to stay where we are. With the economy and the housing market the way they are, Brett just starting the new job (so he is low man on the totem pole and first to be cut if they would have to lay off) and us wanting to start trying for a baby this year.
We are a bit bummed but we know it is the best thing for us at this time! So...we are going to get serious about some long term updates/changes we want to do in our house. For the most part we have done smaller/cheaper things to update it and not necessarily to our style. So we are looking into putting a window in the living room wall, seeing what we can do about the fireplace, maybe tearing down the beams in the living room, maybe buying new kitchen cabinets so we can put in an over the stove microwave and pantry and replacing the vanity in our master bath...plus some other smaller things. And really decorating!!!
I feel like our house has no cohesive decor and it makes me crazy!
So if any of you know anything about adding a window or removing/covering up (aside from paint) fireplaces, I would love to hear about it!
