Good places to vacation in the US
Does anyone have any suggestions on good places to vacation in the US? We are starting to think about vacation this year and trying to decide where we want to go. We did Orlando last year. Thanks for any help.

Re: Good places to vacation in the US
I've never been to San Diego, but once there was a poll on the Nest travel board with this same question and over half of the responses said San Diego.
We went to Denver over the summer and they have this great new casino town that is pretty cool. There are probably 20 casino/hotels within walking distance of one another.
We've done San Diego, Boston and Ft. Meyers FL. I have also been to DC twice.
I think a lot depends on the type of vacation you want...Florida for us was complete leisure...I read about 8 books in one week laying on the beach and at the pool! San Diego, Boston and DC were more touristy trips for us...we loved the history of Boston and DC. San Diego we did the zoo, sea world and a bunch of time just walking around the city!

We stayed at Bishop's Lodge Resort and Spa www.bishopslodge.com and they had a ton of activities there but it was mostly just a romantic, relaxing vacation for us with amazing scenery.
MY BLOG
I've been to San Diego several times, love it. Make sure you visit the Hotel del Coronado. Great beaches in the area and lots of stuff to do.
I've been to FL, too, and it's way to touristy IMO, not nearly as relaxing.
Colorado is always up there for a good, relaxing vaca, but not if you want it to be overly warm ;o)
This is kind of different, but last year we went to Tennessee. We went to Fall Creek Falls State park (cool waterfalls) and then went to Chattanooga.
My parents did a long weekend in San Antonio. They recommended the River Walk area there.
Girlfriends and I went to Hilton Head and had a blast. Good hotels, beaches, and shopping!
Have fun whatever you decide!!
