Which boards? I think you always need to lurk a bit on any given board to find out the mood. I never just jump right in posting! But yea, there are some _bitches out there that just like to be mean for no reason. I always think they probably have really fat ugly husbands with bad BO to go home to... I'd probably be a _bitch too!!

I always enjoy the SA boards, yall are like really nice. The relationship board was what really kind of got to me.

Yeah, the relationship board can be a little rough!  I prefer to just hang out on the SA....these ladies are AWESOME!!

Yeah, the SA boards are like really nice and helpful I would post from time to time on the Knot.

Babies on the Brain can be brutal... it is great entertainment sometimes if you are having a dull night.

Baby boards are a drama disaster.  It almost hurts to watch what they do to each other!

There are other less brutal boards to get info from.

However, I think it's imp to lurk. That way you know not to go on the Pets and ask about breeding your dog and selling the pups in a newspaper (or better yet, in front of walmart- bad bad bad!!) Or ?you know not to go onto Fashion and Beauty and ask about fake Coaches... they don't take kindly to that. lol. OR you know not to go onto BOTB and any about anything baby!!!

Wow, this quoting thing and bumping thing is wayyy overdue!!!  

Yup, lurking on those certain boards is the only way to survive!! LOL.  OR... they could just have a sticky post that describes philosophies and courtesies of each board so newbies at least get a fair warning.

 Anyway, I also wanted to say, as far as the baby/parenting boards, there can be some "cliqueish" type of gals. The one "baby" board that I found that was totally supportive and helpful was the adoption board. I love going there from time to time!
