(Yes I know that Jacksonville is not "technically" CF but it is the closest option to pick).?
My husband and I moved to Jacksonville about 6 months ago and we are completely stumped. We have not been able to figure out where people our age hang out! We are both 24 and beyond the bars at the beach we are at a loss as to where people go to hang out. We live in Southside and have tried the town center, the landing (a bit ghetto some nights) Jax/Atlantic/Neptune Beach area but we feel like we are missing something. Any suggestions on cool places to go? We aren't huge club go-ers or anything, just looking for cool new restaurants, a bar or two, or even an awesome park. TIA! ?
Re: Jacksonville?
There used to be a North Florida board but I see that is gone. When I lived in St. Augustine I hit all the spots you just mentioned so I can't be of any help.
sorry.

Mandarin Ale House was my favorite when I lived there. Other than that there's not much of a nightlife in Jax other than clubs (of which some are downright scary). Dave and Buster's is also fun but you have to go with other people.
Jax is more of a family city. Most of the young people move away to go to college and then move back to start families (i.e. all of my friends). It's a great city to raise kids in dpeending on where you live (Mandarin, Southside the Beaches and Riverside are the nicer areas.)
Duval, Nassau, Clay and Flagler counties make up Florida's "First Coast". It's based on the founding of St. Augustine (Flagler County) in 1565; the first European settlement in Florida. Can you tell I grew up there?
