If you were single...

and going on match.com and were recently laid off, how would you mention it in the profile thingy?  "I was formerly in ____"?  BTW, not for me

Re: If you were single...

  • Oops, trying to help BFF.

  • I think that sounds professional.  I think the main thing is just not to mislead potential matches.  If they ask her, then she can be up front about what is going on.
  • Does she HAVE to address it?  Plenty of men on there don't even have that as a requirement (education or job fields).  From what I've heard.

But if she does put something, that sounds fine to me!

  • Honestly I probably wouldnt address it in my profile. It would definitly not be something that I would hide, but I would not put it in my "about me" section. If I were talking to someone or on a date, I would probably say " I was formerly in ______".

  • I was thinking the same thing, why mention it.  Thanks ladies!
