I dedicated my whole week last week to trying to win my way into the U2 show tonight.
There are no actual tickets, just a list, and you had to win to get in. Several radio stations were doing giveaways all last week, and I literally had a chart of when to listen to which station to try to win. I came really close a couple of times, but no cigar.
They are going to play the show live on most of the local radio stations (which all stream live on their websites) tonight at 9:00, so we can still listen!
They are doing 4-6 songs and then taking questions from the audience.
It's totally once in a lifetime as U2 NEVER plays venues that small anymore. I am so beyond disappointed that I didn't win my way in!!
Re: **ssg & ccbride08**
I didn't realize you were a fan, or I would have recruited you to help me with calling in! ha ha!
If C gets home early enough from her class tonight, I may see if she'll go with me to stand outside. They say the theater seats 900, and I KNOW they didn't give away that many on the radio... Though they are calling the show "sold out." So part of me wonders if some lucky fans hanging outside will get to get in. We'll see.
They're coming to Gilette Stadium in September. Those tickets will be on sale soon.
