I am hoping to catch you here, though I know this board is slow. You are always so helpful to all the Ft Campbell people, so I have a question.

Dh is currently stationed here, and not expected to deploy until May 2010. We are renting, and don't plan on buying, but I want to look into a different area. We are currently in Old Clarksville, I think, near downtown and APSU. We have a 2 bd townhouse which is very affordable. But, I am not sure if I like the area, it seems a little shady. I am concerned about gang/drug activity in this town. Where would you recommend looking for a new place? We still want to rent, and stay within our housing budget. Dh is E3, hoping to promot soon. We have a med dog, and I have found many who won't accept him.

I like the sango area (I am a nanny for a family that lives out there) but I am not sure about affordability.

TIA

  • Sorry to but in- I thought I might offer up a *tiny* bit of info.

My parents lived in Clarksville for 2.5years, about 10 years ago.  They were moving from out of the area and relied on a Realtor to find a rental that would fit their needs while they built.  They rented a house in a subdivision off of Tiny Town Road- (some thing Irish, I can't remember exactly) It seemed to be very family friendly, and the agent found a property that allowed their 2 dogs.

I agree, I think the Sango area seems nice, but I don't know much about it.  Your assessment of where you currently are is pretty accurate.
