Re: Its friday ladies!

  • TGIF! I am so ready to be hunkered down at home for a bit. This week has just taken it out of me for some reason.

S said this morning that on this weekend's agenda is cleaning the house. I know I have to spend some time working on our taxes and paying bills. Yeah, we're fun.

Oh, and it might finally be time to take down the Christmas tree. Embarrassed

  • omg, i am so stressed. i have to finish my portfolio and get my presentation ready for my capstone class--i'll be presenting on monday afternoon and submitting the portfolio at the same time--so i'm going to be working on that all weekend. i also need to study for my math exam and take it by tuesday night. gah! but assuming all goes well i'll be walking across the stage next friday.

c's best friend from home will be in town tonight and tomorrow so we're going to be meeting up with her for a meal (we don't know if it will be dinner tonight or breakfast tomorrow). some friends are having a game night tomorrow, but i won't be able to get away. c is planning to go with her sister, so at least she'll get to hang out and have fun. we're also supposed to be going to a hockey game on sunday, so i really need to bust out this stuff before that. i really want to be done with my portfolio by the time we leave for the game. i'm going to try to take my math exam tomorrow so i'm not fighting finals week crowds, but i'm not sure that's going to happen...

so yeah. lots going on. totally overwhelmed right now.

  • Well we don't have too much planned.  Sunday we are going to try to go to a local ski resort.  They are hosting a cardboard sled derby and for some reason K really wants to see it.  Plus we've never gone "up to the snow" since we moved here so we think it's about time to do that.  It'll be nice just to venture of town for a day trip.

  • Tonight I am hoping we'll go out to dinner to use one of our buy one get one free coupons.

Tomorrow L will go study in the morning (hard to study at home with 2 toddlers!) while I work on cleaning the house, bathing the kids, and wrapping gifts. Then off to the birthday party for triplets (they have a daughter 1 month younger than our boys and 1 year old triplets. OY!) Don't know what we'll do during the late afternoon/early evening.

Sunday L will go study again and I'll take the kids to breakfast and go grocerty shopping. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough so we can take a long wake that will result in a long nap!  I am hoping L will take the kids in the afternoon so I can work on tagging the rest of the clothes we are selling at the consignment sale in a few weeks.

Wow. We are exciting. Stick out tongue

  • deep breaths blue - you'll get it all done and do an excellent job at that! best of luck this weekend!!

Tonight we've got nada. Tomorrow we'll spend the day spring cleaning and shopping for some bday gifts then in the evening we're meeting the inlaws for dinner to celebrate birthdays (there are 3 this month on that side!) then everyone will come over to our house for coffee/dessert/games. Sunday is church then a lunch date with good friends we havent hung out w/ in a while.  All in all a pretty quiet weekend!

ps - part of the "spring cleaning" will include taking down christmas decorations, so you're not etirely alone on that Wink

  • I am very excited for this weekend. Being mostly Irish married into a 100% Irish family this is like high holy weekend for us!

Tomorrow morning is a special mass for the Irish, followed by a parade that we march in with the Irish American Association. Then it is a big family lunch at a local Irish Pub with live music all afternoon. It is just a really fun day filled with family and close friends.

We keep talking about how next year we are going to have to decorate a stroller for the event to have Annie in the parade with us.

Sunday will be spent woking on the nursery and just spending time together.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • nothing too much this weekend. We're buying my uncle's car tomorrow, probably salavging C's toyota (its not worth enough to bother selling really), and I'm doing homework . might finish the kitchen too.
  • I am feeling like crap today and am spending my time at work counting down the minutes until I can leave.  So tonight i will be in my pjs (my plan is by 2:45pm!)

Tomorrow I have yoga in the am and then we are going to my bf's house to celebrate sophie's 1st birthday!  I can't wait.  I can't believe it was already a year.

Sunday S plays hoops in the am and I will sleep in or do some school work.  Then we are going to go mattress shopping yeah!  We are also going to go look at some baby furniture since there is a baby furniture warehouse next to the place we are going to look at mattresses.  I am also hoping that we can find something for a coffee table.  We hate our current one and it is too big for the space.  I want to get something small or 2 cubes that can be moved easily out of the way.  I think we will need to do that when baby g arrives since we don't have a ton of room.

  • We have a weekend filled with spring cleaning!! Oh how our babies love me and J :)!!! I want to get it all done this weekend, so, hopefully everything goes as planned. However....I am going to get my nails done today and I am also getting a tanning membership to make myself feel somewhat decent as I crawl on all fours scrubbing my little heart out this weekend :)

Your weekends always seem packed with stuff and yet you'll say "all in all a pretty quiet weekend."  I'd say you and A have a very active social life.

yeah, i see what you're saying, lol. Andrea is such a social butterfly that a "quiet weekend" for me is if we only have one planned event each day.  its nuts. and gets overwhelming for this homebody at times, but these type of weekends are a good compromise :)

  • Tonight we have our usual Friday night at home with DVR and takeout.

Tomorrow we are going to try to sell some clothes that belonged to my grandfather to a vintage store for my grandma.  We were helping her clean out her attic last weekend, and she thought we should throw away all of his 1960s/1970s blazers, coats and even full 3 piece suits - all in perfect condition, mind you - because "Not even goodwill would want old clothes!"  I said, "Gram, trust me - some people live for this stuff!"  So I'm hoping we can get her a little bit of money for them.  Then we are thinking of exploring one of the towns that's on our list of where we might buy our first house.

Sunday we have a family party.
