I was just browsing Folica.co for a new flat iron. ?I was thinking about the CHI because of all the raves on here. ?But then I got to reading about the Solia. ?Anyone have any advice? ?TIA

Notes:
Re: Chi vs. Solia flat iron
I don't even think the CHI and solia are comparable irons -- CHI is incredibly poorly made and tends to short out after several months. if i remember correctly, the solia has a higher high temp, too. i think the solia is more comparable to the sedu. that said, my hairdresser uses the sedu and i own a solia and i can't tell a bit of difference. i've got very thick, wavy hair and both irons do a great job. solia is less expensive, obviously, but i wouldn't even consider a CHI. worst waste of money! sedu or solia, definitely.
Thanks for the tip about a different iron other than the CHI
!
After extensive research, I finally purchased a Ultra CHI sold exclusively at Ulta stores. It had everything I wanted. It is the only ceramic tourmeline CHI flat iron which is the reason why most people prefer Sedu to CHI. I love it and will only buy this flat iron again.
This is not me but she does a great job of showing off the iron.
