Friend Visiting - What do do?

So my best friend is visiting for what will probably be her first and last trip to Tucson while we live here and I want to make sure that she gets the highlights while she's here.

Things that are on the possibilities list:
- Karchtner Caverns
- Cafe Poca Cosa
- The Desert Museum

Mainly she's here just to hang out with me, but we have time for a few activities. What would you say should be on the top of the priority list?

Thanks!

Re: Friend Visiting - What do do?

  • If she's never been here before definitely the Desert Museum! Katcher Caverns is neat, but if she's been to caves before it's nothing new.

You could do Old Town Artisans downtown if she likes artsy/craftsy stuff or even Tubac.

    Other places of interest:
    -Sabino Canyon
    -Bisbee/Tombstone
    -Mission San Xavier
    -Mt. Lemmon/Summerhaven
-Spring Training games if she's here in March
    -Pima Air & Space Museum
    -Saguaro East/West
    -Old Tucson Studios

  • Mystery... I cracked up laughing that you were going to head straight to El Con with your friend.  That sounds like something I would do.

I enjoyed the Desert Museum.  And this is a good time of year to go because it isn't too hot and there a lot of exhibits outside.

    Hope you have fun!
