Restaurant/Shopping Recommendations

Hi girls - I will be in Tucson for three days (for work).  Any restaurant recommendations and/or good places to shop?

Re: Restaurant/Shopping Recommendations

  • As far as shopping there are a ton of local shops that are cute to visit.  If you are looking for more upscale, I would say La Encantada.

Restaurants.... For an easy lunch or breakfast, I like Eclectic Cafe.  Oh, and AJ's fine foods has lots of good stuff to eat for lunch (and tons of pastries)... For Sushi and Korean, I like Takamatsu.  For dinner Old Pueblo Grill is a nice place to go (the one on Alvernon).  Oh, and I also think 58 Degrees and Holding is a nice place for dinner.  It is a wine bar and a little more upscale.  Kingfisher is also good.  More casual.

If you are looking for something more specific let us know and I will try to help.

  • This is great -- will definitely check these out.  Thank you!
  • Where will you be for work?

For shopping there's the shops on Fourth Avenue, more boutique types  - these are located downtown. There's La Encantada on the North Side of town as the PP mentioned. It's more upscale shopping. There's also the standard malls - Park Place and Tucson Mall.

At La Encantada there's a few restaurants, North (Italian), Bluepoint Kitchen & Bar (Seafood), and Firebirds (American fare). Across the way are a few more restaurants, including Flemings Prime Steakhouse on the SE side of Campbell/Skyline.

In town on Wilmot is Jonathan's Cork (dinner only). They're a southwestern type fare but have absolutely amazing desserts. Not too far from Jonathan's Cork is Montana Avenue - a great place for lunch or dinner.

If you need more recommendations, just let us know the area you'll be in and we can guide you better.
