Any local activities happening?
Last summer I was just getting settled into Tucson and didn't have time to do much, but now I'm ready to go out and find new thing and activities - any ideas or suggestions of things to do in Tucson in the summer? Or weekend festivals ect to go to? I know lots of the restaurants have great summer specials - any favorites you want to share?

check out azstarnet.com and go to the entertainment section, they list all the events happening.
As for touristy things, you have to do the Saguaro Desert Museum and during the summer's they an evening thing that is awesome. Also, Kartchner Caverns is great in the summer since it's underground. Colossal Cave is similar, but more people show up there. Oh and Sabino Canyon, you can hike up to the falls and cool off too. And Mt. Lemmon is a nice cool place and it is so green up there. Stop at Ba'bad-douag or something like that, it's a pull off on the way up and you can see EVERYTHING!
As for restaurants, that I can help ya with!

Eegee's - subs and fruit slushes to die for!
Sakura - Teppan Steak and Sushi
Cool Show too!
Gaslight Theatre and Little Anthony's Diner - Gaslight is a dinner theatre and is hysterical, LAD is a fifty's themed restaurant that is attached and they have great food too.
Charlie's Tavern - This is a personal fave. It's FI's "Cheers" and the food is awesome! Fantastic burgers, great western feel and on Thurs, Fri, and Sat there is free Poker nights. It's a lot of fun, I highly recommend!
