DFW Nestie Needs Advice

So my prescence has been requested at a family reunion in Cali. on June 21. I was thinking of flying in Friday June 20 in the evening - doing the reunion on Sat - then Sat. night or Sunday morning hightelling it out of there.
Here's my questions/things
The reunion is in Porterville or Woodville which is roughly 20 mins from Visalia, roughly an hour north of Bakersfield. Flying into Fresno's airport cost 200+ dollars than just flying into LAX. Plus I know there is NOTHING I want to stick around C. Ca for.
So where would you fly into? What would you do for a couple of days?

Re: DFW Nestie Needs Advice

  • If you don't care about a 3 hour drive after your flight, fly into LAX since it's cheaper...it's still a good 1.5 hours to Porterville from Fresno (I think).  If you don't want to drive as far then fly into Fresno.  You can stop by the Tulare Outlets on your way to Porterville if you need a couple hours to waste.  It doesn't sound like you'll be in town for long, so either way, I'm not sure.  Sorry if I'm no help.
  • If its that much cheaper I would fly into LAX . You can always hang around LA for a while if you want. The Beverly Center is great to shop at and you could always go to the ocean if you wanted. Fresno is not a bad city and if you have family to visit they could join you in Fresno for shopping or dinner. GL I can't stand Porterville though not a place to stick around for long:)
