Re: Need travel advice please from SLO

  • Hey!
Well, SLO itself is really fun.  If you've only got a couple hours, you can always head south to Santa Barbara (1.5 hours, great shopping, eating, views, etc), or you can head North to San Simeon and go to Hearst Castle, Big Sur (farther away), you can go wine tasting in only like 20-30 minutes in Paso Robles...

email me at ivgirlie@gmail.com if you want more questions, I'm from around SLO.
P.s. Within 15-20 mins. is Pismo Beach which is a fun little trip.
  • I personally love Novo's, which is in SLO. If you pick up a book on hiking on the central coast you will that there a lot of wonderful and easy hikes between Arroye Grande and San Simeon. Paso has a great wine scene. The movie Sideways (wine movie) was shot between Santa Barbara and Buelton. I know that there is a wine tour in that area that goes to the different wineries used in the movie. The Madonna Inn in SLO is very unique. If you have seen it, I Know Who Killed Me, was filmed in SLO.
