poll: what did you watch?

A parade or the Superbowl?

We are watching the Superbowl.  I want to do a parade, but it would be a pain with Alex.

Re: poll: what did you watch?

  • I passed up both, even though I did have a parade option up here in Alexandria.  I recorded the game so I could watch the commercials later.  Tuned in for the last 2 minutes--am kicking myself for only giving a 5 minute buffer on the timer.  But I only missed the 2 second kneeldown.

Watched the "Superbowl of Wedding Cakes" on the Food Network.  It's starting all over again.....

  • Parade! My first Bacchus experience and I got to see the Hulkster!  I was a Hulkamaniac as a kid so I was like 5 again for about 3 minutes! Loved it!! I could've cared less about the Super Bowl so it was an easy choice. :-)

  • I chaperoned DD's dance team in Bacchus; caught updates on the game along the route ... someone even had a projection screen up on St. Charles.

  • Both!!  We rented a hotel on Julia Street to get ready for the Bacchus ball and just in case we were too tipsy to drive, so we watched the first half in the hotel and during halftime we went to the Convention Center.  They had the game on about 10 screens but we didn't have sound.  There was a band playing but it was cool watching the game with so many other people.  When the Giants scored that last TD to win, the place went WILD.  I guess there were a lot of Eli fans in the audience.

HisEarth, had I known you were walking with your daughter's dance team I would have shouted out to you, or at least made a sign that said "Whassup HisEarth, from Eddieboo!"

  • The SuperBowl :-(

As much as I wanted to catch Harry Lee's tribute in Bacchus, DH, being the Sports fanatic that he is, insisted that we go to my bro's house for the Game. In his defense, he did spend the ENTIRE day at the parades prior to that. So, I was happy :-)

  • The superbowl! Because we were actually out of town (Park City, Utah) and also because I was cheering on the GIANTS!!!! I am from NYC, so I had to show support :).
