Re: MrsSaxy

  • gets harder every year.  each year the kids are a bit worse.  I graduated in 2003 and have been teaching since then.  I just finished my last class to become certified to teach ESL because I needed a change within education.

I love what I do...the concept of the job, but we just don't get paid enough.  The parish and my school just makes teaching way too stressful.

  • Sorry to but in, but once again I must agree with Mrs. Saxy.  I am about done with Jefferson Parish.  I know they say the grass is always greener, but I amnot too sure how much longer I can actually teach in this parish.  We do not get paid nearly enough for all the crap with have to do and put up with.

I am thinking of trying St. Charles, St. Tammany or possibly the Baton Rouge area.

Not to mention my daughter is going to school sooner than I would like to think about and I have NO clue what public school in Jefferson parish I would send her to.  It really stresses me out to think about.  ANyhow, I could also write a book...page me if you would like to know more!

    Good luck,
    Kelli
